The Lobotomist.

When I was waking up this morning I was thinking about a group of chemical compounds called 'pheromones'. Maybe you've heard about it, maybe not. It's a chemical compounds secreted by a species to influence the development or behaviour of an organism of the same race. It's used by mammals (humans also) to attract someone from the opposite sex.

I wonder now when the world is filled with different perfumes and scents from across the globe (everything from olives, coconuts to strawberries) if we humans have lost the receptors of pheromones?

Or if we are preprogrammed to be disgusted of someone that hasn't showered in 2-3 days? In the old days you couldn't shower every day. At that time our pheromones did some work for us when we wanted to find a partner.

So how could we try this out? Not to shower a couple of days and then go out to the pub or to the club and see if our scent finds us a partner. I won't try that though, haha. Just a idéa for someone who likes to experiment.

Anyway, here's a very interesting documentary of lobotomy. For those who doesn't know what lobotomy is; it's basically a specialist neurosurgical doctor that goes into the brain of the patient and cuts of links in the brain to solve the neurological problems of the patient. It's banned nowadays though. But very interesting to watch, and free!:
